From our neighborhood. I really love country living. Didn't think I would . But it is really great. It's quiet. We know everybody within line of sight. Go to church with most of them. God is so good to make this possible.

This is Joseph Curry Johnson. Or simply Joe, as he prefers.

He has a very dry wit but can also be sloppily funny.

And he's very bright.

I think we'll keep him.

Erin with Todd, I believe at Disneyland.

Another cute couple.

Eric (He cleans up nicely, no?) and his lovely bride, Jamie.

They make a really cute couple.

This is Eric today. He's a deputy sheriff in Burnet County, TX. Every now and then I hear of harrowing tales of high speed chases and take-downs.

"Hey. Be careful out there."

In the near pic, the littler one is Erin, Jordan's mom when she was just a couple months old. That is Eric, her brother, holding her. He is about 4 in this pic. We lived in an apartment in Plano, TX, at the time.

In the far pic are Eric and Erin some months later. Cute kiddos, no?

Jordan at her first hunt?

This lovely lady with Jordan is her mom and my daughter, Erin. As I recall, Erin's first hunt saw her kill 2 turkeys with neck shots. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.) Sure wish I'd been there to see that.

And now her mom is teaching her the joys of outdoorsmanship.

Good Job, Erin.

That's Joe, my son, on the left and Jordan, my granddaughter, on the right. They get along famously. The pic was made at the Sands Tower in Port Royal, SC. Erin & Jordan came for my parent's 60th Anniversary, in December, 2006. My dad passed away in November, 2007. I am so glad we were all together for that momentous event.

Joe is like me. He is uncomfortable having his pic taken. Jordan, on the other hand will pose or break into song and dance. As far as I know, none of us know where she gets that from.

This is a truly magnificent picture. It shows the handiwork of our Almighty God. A beautiful little girl in front of a beautiful sunset.

As of late, I have been very blessed to make contact with some very precious friends from as far back as 33 years ago using Facebook. I know them from having lived in various places...Dallas, TX; Abilene, TX; Beaufort, SC; Varnville, SC; and others. And some now live where I last saw them while still others live in places like Kosovo or Africa or Australia.

I find it interesting how we move from place to place, making new friends we expect to spend the rest of our lives with. But we move on to another place losing contact with people who have made significant impact on us.

Reestablishing contact with them has brought great pleasure and peace and has allowed me to let them know they are important to me. It also allows me to know how to pray for them specifically. And this brings joy to complete the mix.

Thank You, Lord, for allowing this to take place and I pray that You would draw each of them to You. In Jesus' name...

What an incredible moment caught on camera. (Her mom, Erin, got the shot.) This is, of course, Jordan "picking snow" from bluebonnets. The colors are vibrant...which they have to be to keep up with Jordan.

It's easy to see why I've taken up residence around her pinky finger. She is totally in charge...

This is my younger granddaughter, Jordan. She is just too cute for words and has a personality that defies description. I'll add a pic a day.
Wx is cloudy and cooler but no rain.

Church was good. Another Scriptural feast from pastor Carl and really great music by Pastor Matt and choir/orchestra. We are truly blessed.

AWANA is later. I always look forward to AWANA. Lots of fun. Good food...victually and spiritually.

Valentine Banquet was great as usual.
Valentine banquet tonight. Hmm. Wonder who I can take.
First timer today. The learning curve is still a sharp one. Time will be my friend.
